The firm represented JoAnn Huffman, a Code Enforcement Officer employed by the City of Conroe, who lost her job because of discrimination and in retaliation for having reported the discrimination.
Huffman was an experienced employee with an excellent performance record. Shortly after a new Fire Chief was hired, she was fired.
The district court denied the request by the City for a summary judgment, and it granted Huffman’s motion for summary judgment. The case settled before trial.
