Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Rhonda Goerlitz v. Clear Lake Dodge

The firm represented a young woman who was fired from her job with a car dealership shortly after she told management that she was pregnant. After trial, the district court concluded that the firing was unlawful and awarded the employee damages.

In the first appeal, the Court of Appeals upheld that ruling – finding sufficient evidence that she was terminated due to her pregnancy. In the second appeal, the Court of Appeals approved an award of attorneys fees against the car dealership.
